A Ray of Hope

I hope to once again lick cheezie dust off my fingers without the fear of dying.

I hope to hear a bartender ask, “Will that be shaken or stirred?”

I hope social distancing passes the baton to social dis-DANCING.

I hope the pandemic is the toughest thing our kids ever go through.

I hope Karen’s go back to living their best life without the psycho stigma.

I hope someone looks at me the way I look at a travel brochure.

I hope homeschooling Mom’s realize they’re the superheroes in this story.

I hope hate and divide are replaced with unity, love, and brie cheese.

I hope to restore relationships tested by polarizing points of view.

I hope divisive political figures go duck themselves.

I hope to blow out my vocal cords singing at a concert.

I hope to feel safe going into large crowds again.

I hope the bands plays more cowbell.

I hope YOU keep being you!

I don’t know what “normal” is going to look like but I do look forward to never having to hear the term “new normal” ever again. I also hope we all carry some good things forward from this pandemic like the fact that we are all indeed connected and not just in some weird hippy way (which I am not disparaging because weird can be wonderful) but also in a way that allows us to forgive people’s momentary lapses in judgment. We are all just flawed humans doing the best we can for ourselves and those we love. Miss you GRrrrrrlz – all my best to you and yours ❤

This past year brought out the best and the worst in humanity. I’m making a concerted effort to focus on the good. Sending positive vibes back at you!
