Our good friend Danny Miller specializes in black and white film photography, and crafts a beautifully written blog. However, these photos aren’t your everyday digital pics. Danny’s creative process involves loading the camera, spooling film, developing reels, archival processing, drying, sleeving, and cataloging. The negatives are meticulously developed in a traditional darkroom under his watchful eye.
Danny believes the magic of photography is the camera’s ability to “stop” time. This quality alone can make the viewing of a photograph deeply nostalgic and often emotional. The simplistic beauty of his photos are a labour of love.
