There’s a residual sadness that lingers after you’ve lost a parent. Dad would have been 81 this week, four days after his grandson turned 18. In this year of firsts, we credit the blog for forcing us to keep a sense of humour. One of Brennan’s birthday gifts was The Book of Awesome, by Neil Pasricha. It was a timely reminder to celebrate life’s simple pleasures.
